Hello everyone, and welcome to another exciting episode of Pokemon Battle Revolution! Today we're at Unova's Dragon Gym, where the battle between Venser and Wyverii is about to get underway! Starting off the match is Swells, Venser's Monohm. Facing it is Wyverii's Piplup, King. This looks like it's shaping up to be an excellent battle.

King appears to still be drowsy from its time in its Pokeball, because it starts off the match with a great big Yawn! However, Venser's having none of this, and orders Swells to run behind a pillar to avoid the yawn, which luckily for our little cloud dragon works perfectly. Once it's behind the pillar, it looks like Swells is trying to get a little rainstorm started with Rain Dance. Unfortunately for him, it appears that his trainer has overlooked one little fact: we're in an indoor arena! Despite the poor dragon's pleading, he can't get more than a couple of drops of water to fall out of the sky, and definitely not enough to constitute a storm.

Taking advantage of this, King fires off a powerful Ice Beam! While Swells is partially obstructed by the pillar, at least half of the chilly beam strikes Swells squarely on the nose. Shaking off the ice crystals, Swells starts charging up a powerful Thunder attack! Unfortunately for it, the thunder lands a bit wide of King, and he only gets a minor shock from the puddle of water that he's standing in. Undaunted, King fires off another Ice Beam! This one connects squarely with Swells, causing more ice crystals to form on its puffy white fur.

At the end of the round, the competitors are facing each other about 20 feet apart in the center of the arena. There's some puddles of water around the arena from the weak Rain Dance, but other than that no real lasting results.

That was a pretty bad start, Swells, but I know we can do better :D Let's start off by paralyzing that penguin with a Thunderwave, then Charge. Finish up with a Wild Charge to get some solid damage on him.
 
Right King, he's given us an opening we can use. Smack him with two more trademark Ice Beams for his trouble. Then when he charges at you use Yawn again and this time and it'll hopefully hit.

Welcome back to Pokemon Battle Revolution! We're currently watching a heated battle between Venser's Monohm, Swells, and Wyverii's Piplup, King! Starting things off this round, it looks like Swells is looking to slow his opponent down a bit, as he fires off a Thunder Wave, causing waves of electricity to crackle around King. It looks like he's Paralyzed! Undaunted, King fires off yet another Ice Beam, this time hitting Swells squarely in the face! I'm not sure how many more of those he can take...

Ever defiant, Swells Charges up electricity around him. It looks like he's getting ready for a big attack- one which King definitely isn't going to enjoy getting hit with. Spooked by this show of force, King fires off a fourth Ice Beam! Though the electricity swirling around Swells manages to deflect the beam slightly, it still hits him, covering his right flank with a shimmering layer of ice crystals.

Shaking off the cold, Swells decides to get things back in his favor, and delivers a decisive Wild Charge, ramming into King with enough force that it looks like even Swells himself is having trouble collecting himself. On top of that, it looks like King took a bit of an extra jolt from the water he was standing in! However, King looks... uninterested? He's taken advantage of Swells' daze and opens his mouth up for a huge Yawn! Unable to flee after the violent impact, it looks like Swells is beginning to get a little drowsy...

At the end of this round, the competitors are about 6 feet apart. Swells is lazing about in the puddle of water that King formerly found himself inhabiting, looking like it might just be naptime for him soon. King's sitting about 6 feet away from him, blue electricity crackling along all of his limbs.

Right, now we're a bit slow at the moment so our options are limited. We'll need to stick to long range for now, Ice Beam then surround yourself with an Aqua Ring to hopefully absorb some of that electricity before firing off another Ice Beam.

We're taking a lot of damage here so Slack Off as he Ice Beams. Fortunately he's making himself more conductible with that Aqua Ring, so our Wild Charge should do more damage - hit him hard with one. Then, Slack Off again, after he Ice Beams.

We're here with yet another installment of Pokemon Battle Revolution! Things are currently looking grim for Venser's Monohm, Swells, but it looks like he could care less from where I'm standing. Indeed, it looks like Swells is just Slacking Off, which serves to give it a bit of a morale boost as well as a bit more vigor. Not putting up with this one bit, Wyverii's Piplup, King, readies another Ice Beam. However, right as he's about to fire, all his limbs lock up, and he is unable to get the attack off. Folks, King has been Fully Paralyzed for the first time in this matchup.

Not wanting to lose his momentum, King sets up an Aqua Ring in an attempt to heal himself up a little bit with its soothing waters. However, as soon as he finishes the watery bubble, Swells slams violently into King with a Wild Charge, which scores a Critical Hit! On top of that, it appears that the healing sheen around King has only served to amplify the electrical power, and it delivers a jolt of its own to the two before falling to the ground, its enchantment dispelled by Swells' crackling energy.

Having just delivered one of the most violent blows I've ever seen in my career as a commentator, Swells elects to recuperate slightly by Slacking Off again. Shaken by Swells' violent impact, King decides to go back on the offensive, this time successfully firing off an Ice Beam in an attempt to give Swells a new meaning for "chilling out". The beam is deflected slightly by the charged energy still crackling around Swells, and strikes it directly on its side.

It looks like the combination of King's Yawn, its strenuous activity, and its time spent slacking off has finally taken its toll on Swells, as it appears to have fallen asleep spontaneously in the middle of the battle! With King nearly backed into the wall and Venser snoozing away about 10 feet away from him, it appears that the tables have rather violently turned here. Be sure to tune in text time for what may well be the exciting conclusion to this episode of Pokemon Battle Revolution!

Not much we can do, we don't have the energy to pull through to any sort of win condition. Bubblebeam him then slam him with one last Ice Beam before spraying him with another Bubblebeam.

It looks like this is the end of today's episode of Pokemon Battle Revolution, folks. Wyverii's Piplup, King, has fought valiantly despite its disadvantages, but it's looking like it's on its last legs here. Meanwhile, Venser's Monohm, Swells, is snoozing away in the middle of the arena, seemingly uninterested in the battle it's been part of for the last hour. It looks like Wyverii's Yawn has definitely done its job.

While Swells catches up on its sleep, King looks to regain control of the match with a powerful BubbleBeam! King takes a deep breath in and spews forth a thick stream of bubbles, which crack and pop as they impact the charging electricity still swirling around Swells. He follows it up with one last powerful Ice Beam, which hits Swells directly in the face, jolting it awake. Displeased at its sudden awakening, Monohm summons up the last of its Charged energy and fires off a powerful jolt of Thunder, which slams directly into King. Unable to fight further, King slumps down onto the arena. As Wyverii calls King back into his Poke-Ball, Venser runs over and congratulates Swells for a job well done. This match was definitely exciting and very close, and it's been a blast covering it. Thanks for watching, everyone!
