Yarnus of Bethany said:Flavor is more likely to work means that if the user uses a move unconventionally, you as the ref should accept the use as long as it makes any sense at all. For example, Trainer Y tells his Snivy to use Leaf Tornado to block an icy wind. Normally, this would fail, but if the pokemon is cool, it does work somewhat, because it makes a little sense. That said, using tackle to stop surf would never work. This is largely up to your discretion.
