Timeless Tower

Timeless Tower is an unfathomably large structure seated on an impregnable cliffside. The tower's main spire looms over its entrance hundreds of feet into the air. Bridges extend from the main tower to three separate spires, each on an island pillar of immense density. The ocean roars violently below, beckoning you to stay away.

The bridge to the east leads to a tower frozen over in a massive pillar of ice. The sunlight glistens against its reflective surface, yet no melt can be shown. You look cold just staring at it.

The bridge to the west leads to a craggy pillar that seems to be etched from the very earth itself, impossibly dense and immovable.

A third tower can be seen behind the structure on your map, but it is eclipsed by the sheer enormity of the main spire. It is made of the sturdiest looking metal you have ever seen, an unnaturally purely refined solidity that shares the brilliant sheen of the icy tower and the sheer density of the crag.

As you go up to the entrance, the drawbridge on the main gate opens and falls with a loud crash onto the only access to the mainland. On either side of the bridge are statues of Golurk holding up massive spears. As you enter the main atrium, a massive statue of Golem rolled up into a ball takes the centre of the arena. You look around the room and see exits your east and west going to the towers, stairs built into the floor going down presumably to the tower behind the main spire, and a massive door with 3 slots in the gate. Depictions of the gate are on the left and right, and show 3 stones being placed in the gate. Both mosaics are completely sand-colored except for the stones. One is an azure blue, one is a dull brown, and the other a shimmering silver. You attempt to push the gate, but it is so massively heavy you feel tired just pushing on it. It will not budge.

What could this all mean? And where do you go from here?

Your Options are as follows...
Enter Ice Spire
Enter Rock Crag
Enter Iron Dungeon

A Chatot sits on the Golem statue, taunting you both about your inability to access the Heaven's Ascent. He then flies away, to a nest on the cliffs you've just left. It seems you have a choice...which of the three towers will you choose?

The first thing I do is release Starmie, who fires off a quick blast of Ice at Chatot, catching it in midair and causing it to drop like a stone down to the ground, where he will sit until he defrosts. With that done, though, I release my two other Pokemon and we head off to Rock Crag. We've been there before and we have a score to settle.

Also, those are reasonably old copies of my Pokemon, so I'd like to update them if I can. I don't know if it is possible, but if it is, here are their new moves:

-Dig
-Dive
-Dive
-Telekinesis

If you are frustrated and want to vent, there's this.

Lord Jesseus: Boring Hollow

You decide to take the main path, watching as Athenodoros decides to explore around. You honestly don't know why he'd look back there.

A Bonsly and a Roggenrola seem to await you like sentinels. It also seems that the Roggenrola has tried to use Headbutt on you. It seems you'll have to fight them to pass.

Battle time!

Roggenrola: Rock Slide-Earthquake If Krillowatt Imprisons your Earthquake, use Rock Slide instead action 2.

Athenodoros: Slightly Less Boring Hollow

You've been here before. Perhaps there's a better way around than the main path.

You come up to a staircase. Certainly your fortune-by climbing it, you manage to take a shortcut, crossing a bridge between slabs to get to your destination faster.

However, it seems you've come across another Bonsly and Roggenrola. They seem to be huddling around a mysterious carved tablet of what you can only tell as a Froslass in an odd pose. You can't tell what they're doing, but Lucario seems to be contorting its face-mostly in disgust, but with a very slight amount of odd grin.

Of course, they notice you, and Roggenrola quickly creates a rock covering over the mysterious tablet. It seems they also want you to leave...will you fight?

And somehow that link made even the fact that Swampert really wants Dig okay. I wish I had it in my last TLR. Although at least this time I can limit them to virtually no damage at all.

Noteworthy: I'm going away on holiday for a week and I may or may not have access to the internet. So if I go inactive, that's why. If it gets out of control feel free to DQ me, but I'll be posting again for certain on the 18th.

I was so excited when I saw this had been bumped. I think the standard thing to do this is just for me to continue while you're away so things keep/start moving.

I'm bumping this because it has been a damn long time. We can't wait a week and a half (or more) for each update, especially on a long run like Timeless Tower: we'll never finish. So I think it needs to be asked: do you really honestly think you can keep up with a faster schedule? Because otherwise I think we should get a subref.

Well, it is Saturday, and depending on where you are, quite a way in to it. I'm looking for a subref. It has been too long.

Alrightio, ATHENODOROS HAS SPOKEN.

As a result, Atheno's words have randomly hypnotised me into hijacking this TLR as a subref. I'll have Atheno's update up shortly. Sorry Tort, but you've just been taking too long to post, even after numerous reminders... :/

(i.e. Atheno got too impatient & enlisted me to take over...If only mine (And Atheno's) timezone wasn't so far ahead of GMT...)

Here's the format we all know & love, (Well, some)...

ATHENODOROS

Rock Crag - Boring Hollow

Just to sum things up, Posedion blocks Bonsly's Earthquake, which hits only Roggenrola, Ares & Nestor belt the crap out of Roggenrola, Nestor getting a lucky burn, Roggenrola puts up a Sandstorm, Bonsly helps out Roggenrola for nothing, & your team members do a triple synchro Earthquake which knocks out Roggenrola & deals a lot of damage to Bonsly. All said & done, your update is (finally) here! Issue your actions.

Now, let's kick this Roleplay into Turbo Mode, shall we?

TURBO MODE.

And I do love your format. In fact, if you look at my TLR reffing, it is basically identical to yours. Although I'm glad to get any reffing at this point tbh.

Anyway, I chuck a Heal Ball and then alternate Heal Balls and Sport Balls until it is caught.

Krillowatt: Scald Bonsly¬Waterfall Roggenrola
Galvantula: Thunder Bonsly¬Hidden Power Roggenrola
Slowpoke: Pay Day Bonsly¬Chill
All: If Bonsly Protects itself action 1, switch action 1 with 2.
If Bonsly faints, redirect attacks to Roggenrola.

Also I think we are all the same time zone, that should be good.

Well, I'm GMT +11, & you two are the same, I think. Atheno, you run a modified version from what I've seen, then again, we all have to have unique formats, don't we? ;)

LORD JESSEUS

Rock Crag - Boring Hollow

Bonsly gives a parting shot at Omega before dying to Omicron, Delta Burns Roggenrola, Omega makes coins scatter, Roggenrola throws rocks at Omicron, Apart from that, not much else, apart from Roggenrola being Flinch-haxxed...Oh well, not much flavour here, but w/e. Issue your actions.

Since you have access to the data anyway, I trust you know what Bonsly's stats are. Anyways, given you have more than 4 living Pokemon, you'll need to rearrange your team first, then your new RP shall start. Also, if you wish, nickname Bonsly.

I'll call Bonsly LEEEERRROY JEEEENNKKKKKKIIIIIIIIINNNSSS because I don't plan on ever actually claiming him and that's how he's going to play from now on. Anyway, I'll add him to the party and remove Slowking.

PS you can call him LJ it is a bit easier.

As with Atheno, you throw your Heal Ball at the Lackey & catch it first try. Well done. With nothing else to see in this boring place, you move onward to the next area...Not before picking up 1 CC, courtesy of Pay Day.

Rock Crag - Rumble Hall

Going through the passage, you notice that the earthy smell is getting worse, & the gradient of the passage pretty much started to rise at a steady rate. But through some hard yards, you then enter an area called the Rumble Hall, where you start to feel tremours. This area of the crag that is more unstable than the others. Earthquakes seem to randomly average this area, causing you to lose your footing, but aside from physical movement, the area seems entirely unscathed. It's entirely possible this could be the work of a Pokemon rather than an actual feature of the area. In any case you can see down two paths, one where a few small rocks rumble visibly, while the other is calm. You surmise the quakes are coming from that area. What do you do?

a) Enter towards the quakes and inspect what is going on.
b) Continue onward and ignore the quakes.
c) Stay and see if something happens.

Rock Crag - Vista

You continue to make your way through the vertical crag, noticing the path's gradient becoming noticeably bigger, & the rotten, earthy smell becoming a lot more worse. eventually, you brave the smell & come across a beautiful place. This place turns out to be a vista that overlooks Timeless Tower. You can spot the bridge you came here in, and you still look up at the massive height of the main tower. You can spot the Iron Dungeon from here as well. There is some room to move up and get a better view, though there might be wild Pokemon here. So, how shall you proceed?

a) Approach the edge of the Vista.
b) Stay close to the wall and move on.

I approach the edge of the vista. GOGOGO LLLLLEEEEERRROOOOOOYYYY JJJJEEEEEEEENNNNKKKKKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNSSS.
