BATTLE ON!

Arena:

Ilex Forest

The very same dark and dense forest that Bugsy, the original Bug Gym Leader honed her skills in is the home of CAP ASB's own creepy crawly (potential) Bug Gym. The canopy is thick, but not so thick as to prevent all weather from making it inside. And yes it's a little dark, but nowhere near as hostile as some other arenas in that sense. The real key here is the hovels, mosses, shrubs and trap holes that only a type that has spent the most of its existence living within the forest could possibly know about. The bugs are at home here, and all other type unwelcome visitors.

Arena Effects:
- With so many Bugs calling the forest home the String Shots have been fired over almost every inch of the field. Any non Bug type Pokemon on the field will constantly suffer a single stage drop in their speed.
- All weather is possible in the forest, but any Bug type Pokemon will function as if they have the Cloud Nine trait. This is because they all know just where to hide to avoid the weather in their home forest. This does not give Bug types the ability to cancel existing weathers like normal Cloud Nine users, just the other effects.
- Any entry hazard put in place by a Bug type Pokemon will also make use of the natural mosses of the forest floor to provide extra fixation. This means the hazards cannot be removed via Rapid Spin, or by any other method.
- Finally while the forest does provide an amount of rocks necessary for such typed attacks, those present are of course covered in mosses and fungi. Any non Bug type using them for an attack will suffer a flat 15% drop in accuracy on the move.

Technician: (Innate) This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their attacks that normally deal 6 or below base damage to have their base damage multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2). Because Technician is a multiplier on single hit moves, its effect is applied to Base Attack Power before any additive effects.

Light Metal: [DW LOCKED] (Innate) The Pokemon's body is made of a lightweight but extremely strong alloy. It weighs half as much as other members of the species, but is equally sturdy. The Pokemon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments). Priority is applied to the summed Base Attack Power of a multi-hit move (e.g. Double Kick has priority at 6 BAP, Skill Link Bullet Seed doesn't at 15 BAP.)

Ok guys, looks like we're finally going to be able to try this Gym team out.

Chilla, get out there! Take this Life Orb to increase your already ridiculous damage output!

This is playing right into our hands so far. That Sunny Day will be useless for him thanks to our home arena and it gives us a nice chance to set up for next round. It is worth noting that the -1 to Special Defence from Blaziken's Hasty nature is not currently reflected in its stats.

As shinyskarmory steps up to the treeline of Ilex Forest, the immense pressure of the upcoming mock Gym Battle against the prestigious mock Gym Leader deadfox081, commander of the Bug Types that call this forest home. deadfox081 greets the Challenger with a pithy speech and releases Chilla the Syclant, but shinyskarmory is prepared for the bout and releases Fawkes the Blaziken as an instant threat! But in trying to wade through the foliage, poor Fawkes suffers a Speed drop!

Sensing the disadvantage, Chilla U-turns away to a shady spot as Fawkes sets up Sunny Day that doesn't seem to do much good! Fawkes follows Chilla to the shady area and connects with a Blaze Kick! Chilla responds with a Counter-attack that does huge damage and then quickly throws up a Protective barrier to block Fawkes's Fire Blast! Wow, exciting start! As Chilla returns to its Pokeball, deadfox081 releases Bones the Armaldo and Fawkes feels a little Speed Boost coming on!

Yeah.. ASB U-Turn doesn't make the switch till the end of the round, as was made abundantly clear in Korski's reffing..

Great first round guys. Chilla you take a well earned rest before I bring you in for a quick sweep later again. Bones, take this Razor Claw too and we will make your strikes even more fearsome! Time to deal with this thing in a way we know the forest can withstand (although we may shake a few leaves loose).

Earthquake > Smackdown > Earthquake
IF
Fawkes would be underground due to dig action 2 THEN use Hone Claws instead

Whatevs...

Very roleplaying intensive round for you, Blaziken. Start with a Fire Blast, but shoot it at the ground to launch you into the air, dodging Earthquake. Then, come down on top of Armaldo with a devastating Blaze Kick. Finish by climbing a tree to weaken or eliminate damage from that Earthquake.

If climbing a tree is illegal in the arena (no reason it should be illegal honestly), replace that action with Overheat.

Fawkes is then ordered to climb a tree, but being Smacked Down so hard, Fawkes can only make it partway up the tree and takes substantial damage despite its efforts!

Ok then lets switch it up.

Chilla it's your turn again!

Solarbeam > Hidden Power > Solarbeam

Yay for turning your own sun against you.

Actually you do, since you didn't technically switch, you merely sent in a Poke to replace Blaziken. deadfox081 was in line to order Actions first, which is why he was able to switch out. Since he switched out, you technically get a chance to counter-switch. If you do, keep in mind that you have to order Actions first. Disregard deadfox's Actions in his previous post. He has switched to Syclant and that's it.

Switching to my shiny Lucario, Goku, then.

Goku, beat him down! Use Blaze Kick->Close Combat->Blaze Kick
If he uses Counter, replace that action with Aura Sphere.
If he uses Protect, Nasty Plot that action and then Focus Blast->Aura Sphere

As Chilla comes up for a huge blow, Goku responds with a Close Combat for some pretty good damage! Finally, Chilla Digs underground to avoid a second Blaze Kick and resurfaces in pretty good shape!

You really need to fix your profile Skarmory. There is something wrong almost all of the Pokemon you have here.

- Lucario has Riolu's Base Stat Total listed
- Blaziken should have 1 less Special Defence from its nature
- Arghonaut still has Privatyke's DW ability
- All but Blaziken are missing total moves

Its actually really annoying to order against, but I should get back on topic. Having 22 moves and an actual BST of 20 I believe Lucario qualifies for 2 subs.

Earth Power + Focus Blast combo > Cooldown > Earth Power
IF
Evasive Agility THEN Chill and push actions back BUT replace the combo with Earth Power should you come to use it on action 3
IF Double Team is used action 1 THEN change actions to Earth Power > Aerial Ace > Earth Power

That combo doesnt seem like the moves work together in any way...

If he wants to get hit with a 4x effective move, Im happy to oblige.

Blaze Kick->Blaze Kick->Vacuum Wave

Arghonaut, come out.

I NEED NO ITEM TO DEFEAT YOU!!!

Aqua Jet+Waterfall Combo->he's dead->Aqua Jet if he didn't die before.

If he Protects, then 15 HP substitute and push back actions. If he uses Protect a second time, Recover and make the combo just an Aqua Jet.
