The ASB Tournament Arena

Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.

zarator sends out his first evil Pokemon of choice, then Kaxtar follows up with his own evil Pokemon (unless it's Togekiss) and its well thought-out orders. Afterward, zarator skillfully counterattacks!

READY! SET! GO!

Togekiss, let's go!

Yawn, tailwind, flamethrower.

If he ever uses Taunt, replace that action with magic coat to reflect his taunt right back at him.

Mask, hide behind a clone of yourself to block that yawn, then bite into his wings with your elemental fangs!

Round 1: FIGHT!

Agile, quicker, and more slimmer, Mask sets up a nice, sturdy 25% Substitute right in front of him. Quarts tries Yawning at the doll, but it has no effect whatsoever! And would you look at that! The crowd's roaring! "MASK! MASK! MASK! MASK!" He already has the momentum!

From the shadows Masks attacks! He manages to grab onto Quartz's left wing and bite it with a Ice Fang! This manages to freeze a little part of the wing, though I'll be willing to bet it will not have any effect on the match unless pounded on! Quartz decides to just ignore the pain from the frost... bite and peer a Tailwind his way! The winds of excitement fly through the stadium and give Quartz a much welcomed Speed boost!

Now faster, Quartz goes on the offensive and sprays a vicious Flamethrower toward... the Substitute! Darn it, why do you have to attack the Substitute! Mask is right there! And there he goes, running like the 4-legged fiend he is toward the jubilee Pokemon. He leaps and he snaps a Thunder Fang on the right wing! Yuck! What exactly is this? It seems some of the fang has pierce through Quartz's wing... so much that there's rapid bleeding occurring! I can only deduct that a critical hit has happened! How ironic should a good luck Pokemon be bested by a shadowy figure, wouldn't you say? Let's see what's up next round!

Round 2: FIGHT!

With the help of the carefree Tailwind, Quartz leads the match by constructing a wonderful Reflect placed between him and Mask. Not caring about the defensive maneuver, Mask leaps into action and digs his Thunder Fangs right onto Quartz! All they manage is a little scar, however.

It seems like Quartz has this round in his bag! With a little twinkle of electrical sparks, Quartz lets loose a critical Shock Wave from his body that electrifies the Substitute, which finally wears down and dissipates into nothingness. And now, the little fox is left without a puppet! That doesn't seem to intrigue Mask, though, as he jumps onto Quartz and bites onto his face with a solid Ice Fang attack! Sheesh, that Reflect is really doing a number on Mask's attacks! Those fangs didn't even manage to leave any icy particles behind!

Now that he can finally get a solid hit in, Quarts backs away from the rabid cat and lets loose a inferno Flamethrower! The flames breeze through and past Mask's face... and what's left is a 1st degree burn on the face! That is ought to wear him down! Still, Mask is eager to jump into combat once again and tear parts of Quartz's wings off with a Thunder Fang! Or a sliver you might say...

With hax intervening, things certainly have twisted! How will zarator keep his pace up with Kaxtar? Stay tune for more!

Round 3: FIGHT!

Breezing through the winds, Quartz let loose a quick Air Slash that slice through Mask with impunity. Sadly, it's a no-go for a flinch it seems! Look at Mask toughening it up! Hmm, well, it doesn't really look too tough anymore when he creates another Substitute! Yuck! Another obstacle eh Quartz?

Quartz senses the danger that is Substitute and breaths a terrifying Flamethrower toward it. This racks up quite some damage, but not nearly enough to break it. Mask seems to have a sneaky scheme in mind other than straight-up attacking this time! From behind the Substitute, he uses the powers of Psycho Shift to eradicate his burn and replace it on Quartz's own face! How's that for a new makeover?

Now with a burning fervor, Quartz angrily sprays another hellish Flamethrower toward the Substitute, which then incinerates into dust. Right as the flames disappear into the air, Mask leaps over the dust and snaps a Thunder Fang right onto Quartz's body! This has no other effect than electrifying damage!

At the end of the round, it seems like it's time to say goodbye for Quartz's Tailwind and Reflect! How sad! We only just met!

What a nice turnabout! Let's see what's up next time!

After the lucky moment, Mask lurks through the rock pile and bashes right through with a Meteor Mash! This makes a huge explosion of shredded rocks blowing out in all directions... I can't see anything!

Round 6: FIGHT!

UNLEASH THE DRAGON!

Tiamat, with his Rash nature, takes the lead as the faster Dragon and attempts to slip a Thunder Wave into Onyx's scales. Seeing the Thunder Wave coming, Onyx thinks up a plan as fast as possible. What is he going to do? Guess what. He's going to Protect himself, that's right! The Thunder Wave comes and is effectively nullified from the shield! That's one wave of Tiamat goodiness down!

Shaking his head in disappointment, Tiamat flies a bit overheat and gives Onyx a roaring Dragon Pulse to the face! The sheer force of the pressure seems to be capitalizing on Onyx's ears, but still she musters the courage to open her mouth and spit out a Thunder Wave right at Tiamat! This cripples the poor dragon and throws him right onto the ground! What power...

Now faster, Onyx prepares for the worst and sets up a healthy Substitute in front of her face. Noticing this, Tiamat immediately finds the need to crush the puny Substitute with his Dragon Pulse! Does the paralysis jack his movement? Seeing how he's moving, I would say no! There he roars a powerful Dragon Pulse once again! The Substitute takes the hit and barely hangs onto life!

Round 7: FIGHT!

The tantrum continues!

Onyx rages with fury over the arena and cries a piercing Dragon Pulse that rings through Tiamat's ears. This really jammed in his ears I see! There's even some bleeding going on... is this a sign of a critical hit? No way! Despite the paralysis running through his body, Tiamat then mans up and Tackles Onyx's Substitute with amazing force, breaking it into pieces.

With no fear, Onyx keeps up her offensive presence and spouts a Dragonbreath at Tiamat! This tickles his liking and causes him to Taunt at lady Onyx about how pathetic she's going to be when his plans go into motions! No paralysis stopping him there! Uh-oh, this may not be good for her!

Seeing trouble, Onyx uses Protect to try to save her own hide, but the fear of the earlier Taunt prevents it from happening! Tiamat laughs at delight and throws some of his own paralysis particle's electrical statics at Onyx - a zapping Thunder Wave! And now, folks, we got two paralyzed dragons! What say you?
