Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to CAP ASB Battles! A chance for young, aspiring trainers can duke it out for a chance to win it big and become a Pokemon master! My name is DarkSlay, and I'll be your MC and referee for what is expected to be an outstanding battle between two of the finest trainers in ASB! Let's get this match underway!

A standard arena, you know, those next to any standard pokecenter... Only it's a bit loaded. Every mon has a 1/6 chance of taking a random-typed 10 BP attack by the end of the round (this is, of course, before accounting stat changes and weaknesses/resistances). Ref should do something like assign each type a number and rand.

Dratini(*) [Mystery] (F) Nature: Quiet (Adds One (1) Rank to Special Attack; Divides Base Speed by 1.15 and gives a flat 10 point decrease in evasion, effectively adding 10 accuracy (e.g. 85 becomes 95) on an opponent’s attacks. Type: Dragon Dragon: Dragon STAB; More in touch with legendary or special auras in arenas. Able to use Hyper Beam and Giga Impact without losing focus.
Abilities: Shen Skin: (Innate) This Pokemon regularly sheds its skin and any impurities contained in its body. If afflicted with a status condition, this Pokemon has a 33% chance of removing all status conditions at the end of a round. Marvel Scale (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon’s coat shimmers when afflicted with a status condition, reducing the Base Attack Power of incoming physical attacks by two (2).
Gastly [Spook] (F) Nature: Timid (Multiples Base Speed by 1.15 and provides a flat accuracy boost on all attacks equal to its new Base Speed squared, then divided based on its evolution stage. (Formula: ACC Boost = (New Base^2)/Divisor [Round Up] Cap: 30) The Divisor is 1000 for fully evolved Pokemon, 700 for Pokemon that are the second of three stages, 500 for Pokemon that are the first of two stages, and 350 for Pokemon that are the first of three stages. This accuracy boost is added to their Dodge Command chance; Subtracts One (1) Rank from Attack) Type: Ghost/Poison Ghost: Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks. Can move through walls for a brief period of time but must remain in motion. Superior senses in low light and inside dark buildings. Have no vision reduction in hazes. Poison: Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic, see and breath through smog/smokescreens/haze uninhibited. Able to use Wrap and Bind without losing focus. Superior senses in urban settings.
Abilities: Levitate: (Innate) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading Ground moves like Earthquake, Level Ground, and Magnitude. Other Ground moves can still hit.
Nature: Brave (+1 to Attack, -15% Speed, -10% Evasion flat)
Psychic: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic attacks regardless of weight difference, Disable, Focus Blast and Recover have Energy Cost reduced by one (1). Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Trace: (Can be Activated) This Pokemon can copy an ability of the opponent and replace Trace for six (6) actions. Wonder Guard cannot be Traced.
Synchronize: (Innate) Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and pass on any status inflicted on them to their foe. Due to their body structure, Poison types cannot be poisoned and Fire types cannot be burned in this manner.
Telepathy (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon has a mental link with its allies in multiple allies, allowing it to avoid taking damage from attacks that affect the whole field like Earthquake and Surf.

Nature: Adamant (+1 to Attack, -1 to Special Attack)
Bug: Bug STAB; More mobility in dense brush or forest conditions. Gain an extra guaranteed attack on multi-hit moves.
Fighting: Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions of throwing/grappling moves. Superior reaction time in close quarters.
Swarm: (Innate) When this Pokemon’s HP is lower than 33% (flat), the Base Attack Power of any Bug-typed attack is increased by 2. (eg Silver Wind goes from 6 to 8, X-Scissor from 8 to 10)
Guts: (Innate) This Pokemon is tenacious and will work ever harder when under a status condition, raising the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by two (2). Pokemon with Guts ignore the attack drop from burn.
Moxie (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon gets psyched after it earns a KO on an opposing Pokemon, increasing its attack by one (1) stage. This boost is maintained at the end of each round.
Heracross: Use Night Slash, Aerial Ace, Stone edge, all on Gastly, for you actions this round. If Kirlia fails to burn you with will-o-wisp, however, use toxic on yourself action 2 to get some form of status.
Kirlia: Use Will-o-wisp on Heracross, activating its guts ability. If Gastly tries to Taunt you, however, use Confusion on Gastly. Then, use a Thunderbolt on Gastly. Finish up with a Confusion on Gastly.

Alright guys, focus. Spook, pull a quick Hypnosis on Heracross before he does some massive damage with that Night Slash. Keep using it until it hits. Then, Toxic and Hex on Kirlia.
Then, Mystery, just Dragon Dance, Light Screen and Outrage on Heracross.
WELCOME LADIES AND GENTLEMEN TO ANOTHER EXCITING EPISODE OF POKEMON BATTLES! IT'S REALLY LOUD HERE AS WE BROADCAST TO YOU LIVE FROM THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF THIS POKEMON CENTER. I REALLY WISH I HAD A MICRO-oh, thanks!
Anyways, let's get this show on the road! In one side of the stage, we see the battler Blue_Tornado! Fresh, energetic: he's just starting out, but he has a lot of spunk! He calls upon his friends Mystery the Dratini and Spook the Gastly! On the other side we have Kaxtar! He seems to be checking a bunch of lists before the match. He's one hard worker, folks! He sends out Demi Gravidon the Kirlia and Heracross the...Heracross.
Spook is the first one off the mark, firing off a speedy Hypnosis! Its Speed helps it take aim at its opponent...but the move misses! What an unfortunate start for the ghost! Heracross goes next thanks to the miss, and takes the time to Night Slash Spook for massive damage! Mystery goes up and starts to dance wildly with a Dragon Dance! Mystery's Attack and Speed increase by one stage! Demi Gravidon starts out with a Will-o-Wisp, aimed right at...Heracross? What an usual strategy indeed! The small ball of fire hits Heracross! Heracross is burned! Heracross activates its ability, Guts!
Spook, unhappy with the turn of events, decides to give Hypnosis another shot! This time, the wave of Psychic energy hits Heracross square on the head. Heracross falls into an Intermediate Sleep, and will be sleeping for two (2) turns! Heracross sits there snoozing away, dreaming of honey flowing out from trees back at its home! What a sweet dream! Mystery opens up this action with a protective Light Screen that wraps around itself and Spook! Mystery and Spook will receive half damage from incoming Special Attacks! Demi Gravidon starts dancing about, gathering static electricity to fire off a powerful Thunderbolt! The bolt first crashes through the Light Screen, and the weakened attack hits Spook for okay damage!
Spook still keeps it going with the status game, this time targeting Kirlia with a poisonous Toxic! The speedy ghost makes sure that the hit doesn't miss! Kirlia has been badly poisoned! Heracross remains sleeping on the floor. It is fast asleep! Mystery starts thrashing about in anger! It becomes Outraged, and aims its attack at a random target! The rage seems to turn its attention to Heracross. This hits for great damage. Demi Gravidon finishes the round with a powerful Confusion attack! The attack goes through the protective screens and strikes Spook for decent Super Effective damage.
It looks like the arena is erupting into an all-out brawl! Attacks are flying left and right, and who know who's going to get hit! A Physical Water-based attack comes flying into the air and strikes Spook! A Special Ground-based attack shakes the ground and strikes Demi Gravidon! Looks like these Pokemon aren't too happy about it! (For reference, these attacks all hit at Rank 3 power.)
Ok that was not a very good start. Spook, I want you to go for the Toxic on Heracross, then the Venoshock on Kirlia and then a Hex on Kirlia. Dratini, you stay with those random Outrages, preferably on Heracross, and then continue on with Outrage!
Heracross: Wake up and start pounding away at gastly. Use Night Slash on Gastly until it falls. If Gastly is KO'ed, switch to a Megahorn against Dratini.
Kirlia: Start off by Disabling Dratini's Outrage so that its second two actions will fail. Then, use Confusion twice on Dratini.
Heracross (Male) HP: 79 Energy: 95 Status: Burned, Asleep (Will wake up next turn)

BEGIN ROUND TWO
And we're back folks! The crowd has died down a bit, and we can resume the battle as it once was! We see a pristine Mystery and a battered Spook on one side, and a sleeping Heracross next to an ill Demi Gravidon. Who has the upper hand?
Spook is the first off the mark, aiming another one of its poisonous Toxic attacks right at Heracross! The speed of the attack makes it hit. Heracross is now Badly Poisoned! Heracross becomes restless, and wakes up to find that not only did it suffer a scorching burn, but now it's been poisoned! It tightens up its muscles and wildly swings at Spook with a menacing Night Slash! This nails Spook for massive damage! Mystery lets forth another Outrage attack, which randomly chooses Heracross as its target! Dratini unleashes its outrage, smacking Heracross for great damage! Demi Gravidon is keen on Mystery's plans, though, and uses her Psychic powers to Disable Mystery! Dratini forgot how to use the move Outrage!
Spook, wounded and weary, starts chanting curses at Demi Gravidon, Hexing it with ghostly magic. The attack hits full force, striking for massive damage! Heracross responds with a nasty Night Slash attack once again, dealing a near fatal blow! Spook manages to hang on just by the skin of his teeth, though. Dratini seems to be thinking hard about a move it has seem to forgotten, and in an effort of confusion, decides to Struggle! This deals pitiful damage to Heracross and causes a tiny bit of recoil. Demi Gravidon concentrates and sends out a powerful wave of Confusion attacks at Mystery! The attacks are filtered through the Light Screen and hit Mystery for okay damage.
Spook, in one last ditch effort, decides to strike with an all-powerful VenoShock right at Demi Gravidon! This hits for great damage! Heracross ends the little specter's misery and slashes it one last time with a Night Slash to KO it for good. Spook has fainted! Once again out of confusion, Dratini decides to Struggle to hit Heracross for some laughable damage. Kirlia fires off one last Confusion attack at Mystery, jetting through the Light Screen and hitting Mystery for weak damage.
The crowd gets into an uproar again. This time, a Physical Fighting move punched through and hit Demi Gravidon! Thankfully, she resisted the hit a bit.
Now, back to the program! It's a two on one affair here, folks! Will Blue_Tornado even the score, or will Kaxtar double team his opponent to victory?
Heracrossis the first off the mark. He charges towards his opponent with a strong Facade attack! This strikes for massive damage! The next speed tie results in Mystery going next, who unleashes a powerful Dragon Pulse at its opponent. Demi Gravidon is stricken by the blow, resulting in good damage.
Heracross once again strikes first, this time with a powerful Brick Break! This does great damage! Demi Gravidon is off the mark first this time, striking Mystery with a powerful Confusion attack! This strikes for good damage. Mystery once again lets loose a Dragon Pulse from inside of itself, striking Demi Gravidon until it collapses onto the floor. Demi Gravidon has fainted!
It's now just Heracross and Mystery, folks. Which Pokemon will come out on top? Heracross moves first, using a familiar tactic: Facade! This strikes Mystery for some huge damage! Mystery isn't one to give up, though, and fires off a surprise Flamethrower attack! The flames burst forth from Mystery's mouth and strikes Heracross for great damage!
Looks like it's coming down to the final round. Who will win this battle?
With both Pokemon feeling the effects of battle, which trainer will come out on top?
Heracross is ready to deal the finishing blow, but before it can get off its attack, Mystery rushes in at ExtremeSpeed and smashes into Heracross for some good damage! However, it's not enough as Heracross launches one last Facade attack, striking the finishing blow of the match! Mystery has fainted!
