The first event is Ring Drop!

On each of the 4 corners of the stage, we have the participants! In the lower left, is GoldenKnight, the bottom right, Omegaman, top right, smashlloyd20 and top left DarkSlay!

Contestants may PM their 3 actions for the round now. Each action consists of whether you wish to stay in the same place, or if you wish to target a certain Pokemon with a certain velocity, and if so, whether you wish to boost it with a jump. Trainers can also choose to propel their Pokemon in a general direction in order to possibly dodge tackles.

The maximum velocity you can choose for a Pokemon = (Pokethlon Speed*10) + 15

A jump imparts an additional velocity of 20.

2 or more Pokemon may combine their actions into one, to boost the power of their tackle. However, if they miss, it is possible for both to fall out.

Send in your actions!

I have received all actions, and shall edit the results into this post.

If two Pokemon have a head on collision, winner is determined by Power*Velocity. If there is a tie, Pokemon with more Stamina wins. If there is still a tie, both Pokemon get thrown backwards.

The quickest off the mark is Snorunt, with his 75 jump-boosted velocity tackle aiming for Scizor! The power of his tackle is a massive 225! Munchlax seems to be readying itself to back up its partner as well...

Ralts goes next, attempting moving up the ring slightly to attempt avoiding attacks. Volcarona is aiming for it, and with it's boosted velocity comes very close to Ralts! It didn't manage to collide directly due to Ralts' attempt to move, but the sheer velocity of the sideways impact sends both the Pokemon sliding off the stage!

Volcarona and Ralts will return at the beginning of round 3!

Kitsunoh sets its target as Munchlax, and in the process acts as a situational ally for Scizor. Just as Munchlax is about to set off, Kitsunoh rams headlong into it with 160 base power, completing messing up its move and sending it going upwards instead! It is heading for DarkSlay's team! Kitsunoh is pushed back by the reaction force, and drifts back to its team corner slowly.

The words "Carpe Diem" flashed in the mind of Cyclohm. It uses a 80 base power tackle, heading towards the corner Munchlax is heading for, hoping to push it out alongside some of DarkSlay's Pokemon!

DarkSlay's team readies itself. With Volcarona out of the field, Conkeldurr has nothing to do, and so does Scrafty, so they become the backbone of the defense. They prepare to take the attacks from Cyclohm and Munchlax, while the 2 Pokemon speed towards them. Scizor goes for a head-on collision with Snorunt, with the odds stacked against it. It manages tos etup a might 200 base power tackle, but that is not enough to take on Snorunt, who sends it back towards its team with 25 velocity! Due to imparting the velocity to Scizor, Snorunt itself skids to a quick halt.

While all this is going on, smashlloyd's Pokemon scratch their heads. Shakign their heads, they launch their attacks. Bronzong pushes towards the centre, and very nearly misses Snorunt, before skidding to a halt much like it. Aggron makes a move, aiming for SNorunt with a powerful tackle with base power 175! Snorunt is sent slidign very fast, towards a spot next to GoldenKnight's corner! Narrowly missing Kitsunoh, who luckily fully got back into its corner and avoided the attack!

Snorunt will return on round 3!

We return to the collision in DarkSlay's corner! Scrafty and Conkeldurr hold their nerve, and Scrafty manages to stop Scizor and Cyclohm, but just barely! Conkeldurr has no such luck, and Munchlax sends it out of the arena along with itself!

Munchlax and Conkeldurr will return on round 3!

Kitsunoh and Cyclohm breathe heavily, glad to have avenged Volcarona. They might not have hit Machamp like ordered, but they had removed OmegaMan from a round. They blessed the RNG while their trainer cursed it.

Status: Volcarona, Ralts, Snorunt, Munchlax and Conkeldurr are out for round 2. Cyclohm, Scrafty, Scizor are in DarkSlay's corner, with Scrafty teetering on the edge. Aggron and Bronzong are in the centre, Kitsunoh is in GK's corner and Machamp is....idling.

Scores
GoldenKnight: 10(Kitsunoh tackling Munchlax) + 10(Cyclohm tackling Scrafty) + 100(Volcarona KOing Ralts) - 100(Volcarona going out of the ring) + 100(Kitsunoh's tackle leading to Munchlax's KO) = 120
Omegaman: 20(Jump Tackle from Snorunt hitting Scizor) -100x3(All 3 Pokemon fell out) + 100(Conkeldurr going out) = -180
smashlloyd20: 10(Aggron's Tackle connected with Snorunt) + 100(Snorunt went off the ring) = 110
DarkSlay: 20(Scizor Jumping Tackle) - 100(Conkeldurr went out) = -80

PM your actions please.

Pokeathletes may post here if they wish.

Kitsunoh is the quickest off the mark this time, with a 260 base power tackle aimed at Bronzong! Cyclohm moves in for an attack on Scizor as well, but much weaker, with a 40 base power tackle! However, there is a response! Scizor and Scrafty both prepare to attack Bronzong as well! Scizor uses a 175 base power tackle, aiming for Bronzong, and Scrafty joins in with a 165 base power tackle. This overwhelms Cyclohm, who is now blitzing with them towards Bronzong! Kitsunoh is going towards Bronzong as well! Machamp from its corner goes for Cyclohm, attempting to intercept it with a 175 base power tackle, while Aggron supports it wwhile aiming for Scrafty with the same base power! Bronzong, originally paralyzed by fear, now attempts to defend itself by going for Scizor with a tackle of base power 125! The Pokemon collide in the centre of the stage, and power of Kitsunoh, Bronzong and Aggron struggle, but succeed in neutralizing the forces of Scizor, Scrafty and Cyclohm! Machamp collides into them, and succeeds in pushing Cyclohm out to GOldenKnight's corner, where it slows down to a halt. No Pokemon went out this round, a huge relief for the trainers.

Status: All Pokemon on the field except Cyclohm are in the centre, with Cyclohm in GK's corner. Volcarona, Ralts, Munchlax, Snorunt, and Conkeldurr enter the field in their respective corners, and can be ordered from the coming round.

Scores
GoldenKnight: 120(initial score) + 10(Kitsunoh's tackle) + 10(Cyclohm's tackle) = 140
smashlloyd20: 110(initial score) + 10(Bronzong's tackle) + 10(Machamp's tackle) + 10(Aggron's tackle) = 140
DarkSlay: -80(initial score) + 20(Scrafty's tackle) + 10(Scizor's tackle) = -50
OmegaMan: -180

Pokeathletes may post if they wish.

Snorunt is back ina ction, and moves towards the gaggle of Pokemon in the centre with a base 255 jumping tackle! Ralts is its backup, with a weaker 75 base jumping tackle. Kitsunoh joins the fun with a 220 base tackle, while Cyclohm and Volcarona wait in their stations fr the time being. When Munchlax tries to move with a massive base 325 tackle, Cyclohm pushes in to interrupt with a mid-velocity(3*10 + 15 / 2 = 22.5 ~ 23), but this time the massive power knocks Cyclohm back! Cyclohm luckily did not get too much of speed, and with the help of Volcarona slows down!

Volcarona, after a short wait, goes for Conkeldurr, who had not obtained any instructions earlier with a base 55 tackle, knocking it out again!

Conkeldurr is eliminated from the rest of this Ring Drop

Meanwhile, OmegaMan's party has shot towards the centre together, and initiate a massive push! Scizor detaches itself from the gaggle to go for the group with a base 275 tackle, but once again, it is pushed by the massive power of the group! Scrafty goes for Volcarona in the hope of stopping it from knocking over Conkeldurr with a base 165 tackle! However, it rams headfirst into Kitsunoh, who was aiming for it! Kitsunoh, with its superior power pushes back Scrafty, and they head for smashlloyd20's corner. At this time, Omegaman's Pokemon and Scizor collide into smashlloyd20's Pokemon, and smashlloyd's party are headed off the stage. The trio desperately skid, and Aggron and Bronzong succeed! They had to use Machamp as their bouncing bag, and thus Machamp is knocked out! Bronzong heads for Kitsunoh with a base 125 tackle, who is skidding with Scrafty, while Aggron goes for Cyclohm with a base 175 tackle! This reults in Scrafty, Cyclohm and Aggron going off the stage, with Kitsunoh barely hanging on and Bronzong safe!

Scrafty, Cyclohm, Machamp and Aggron are eliminated from this Ring Drop!

Status: Kitsunoh is teetering at the edge of smashlloyd20's corner, Bronzong is right next to it, Volcarona is in DarkSlay's corner, Ralts, Snorunt, Munchlax, Scizor are in the centre of the ring.

Scores
GoldenKnight: 140 + 10(Cyclohm's tackle) + 10(Kitsunoh's tackle) + 10(Volcarona's tackle) + 100(Volcarona KOing Conkeldurr) - 100(Cyclohm being KO'd) = 170
Omegaman: -180 + 20(Munchlax's jumping tackle) + 20(Ralts' jumping tackle) + 20(Snorunt's jumping tackle) + 100(KOing Machamp) = -20
smashlloyd20: 140 - 100(Machamp getting KO'd) + 10(Bronzong's tackle) - 100(Aggron getting KO'd) + 100(Bronzong KOing Scrafty) + 10(Aggron's tackle) = 60
DarkSlay: -50 -100(Conkeldurr getting KOed) -100(Scrafty getting KOed) + 20(Scizor's jumping tackle) = -230

Send in actions for the final round of RIng Drop.

Snorunt leads off again, with a 255 base power jumping tackle! Scizor attempts to dodge to its left, and partly succeeds as Snorunt just manages to glance it! The impact sends Scizor towards DarkSlay's corner, and Snorunt towards Omegaman's corner! Kitsunoh takes the chance to go for a dodge towards Omegaman's corner, before Bronzong can react! Ralts goes after Scizor, with a base 75 jumping tackle! The collision means Scizor's velocity is boosted, while Ralts is right behind it, slowing down! Volcarona goes for Munchlax, who is in the centre, with a base 70 tackle! Bronzong goes after Kitsunoh with a base 125 tackle! Munchlax goes for Volcarona with a base 325 jumping tackle, and overwhelms it! Volcarona goes flying out!

Bronzong and Kitsunoh, who meet at Omegaman's corner, glance off each other, and they both go out! Scizor goes out as well! Ralts skids to a halt right before it can slide off, which was possible because of the velocity it imparted, and so does Munchlax!

And this ends the Ring Drop event!

Scores
GoldenKnight: 170 + 100(side tackling Bronzong for the KO) - 100(Kitsunoh KO'd) - 100(Volcarona KO'd) + 10(Volcarona tackle) = -20
Omegaman: -20 + 20(Munchlax's jumping tackle) + 20(Ralts' jumping tackle) + 20(Snorunt's jumping tackle) + 100(Volcarona KO'd) + 100(Scizor KO'd) = 240
smashlloyd20: 60 + 10(Bronzong's tackle) + 100(Kitsunoh KO'd) - 100(Bronzong KO'd)
= 70
DarkSlay: -230 -100(Scizor getting KO'd) = -330

The next event: Relay Run

This is again very similar to the ingame event. In Relay Run, Pokemon continuously make laps. Orders can be given as to strike a nearby opponent from the side, front or back depending on relative positon, or to merely continue running. Striking from front expends considerable energy, and tires a Pokemon quickly, but in exchange lowers both the opponent’s speed and energy. Sidewards attacks have a reduced energy expenditure and only affect energy of the opponent. Attacks from the back only cost the least energy, and give the oppoentn a speed boost while tiring it down faster.

If a Pokemon gets fatigued(less than x energy), it starts to slow down. If it reaches zero, it will faint and lead to disqualification. When low on energy, you can use an action to swap a Pokemon out for another Pokemon, and for each subsequent actiona Pokemon is not out, it uses the equivalent of a chill.

Each Pokemon has 50 Energy for attacking, and 50*Stamina/2 for running. The exact values of energy expenditure for each of the aforementioned actions and results is up to the discretion of the referee, who must post it when he begins the event.

Score is equal to number of laps multiplied by 10 minus the no. of times a Pokemon collided/passed over an obstacle.

Speed determines speed of the Pokemon, while stamina determines the no. of actions it can run for.

The exact formulae are below:-

Laps per action = Speed/2 rounded up
Energy used for running each action = 10 - Stamina
Critical Energy Level: Less than 10 Running Energy
Chance of a Pokemon not passing over an obstacle = 1/[(Skill + Jump)*1.5]

For orders, you may choose to:-
1.Attack a Pokemon from the front(costs 10 energy, removes 7 running energy from opponent and reduces laps run in that action by 2)
2.Attack a Pokemon sideways(costs 7 energy, removes 4 running energy from opponent)
3.Attack a Pokemon from the back(costs 5 energy, removes 8 running energy from the opponent but increases laps run in the action by 2)
4.Not attack(expends normal running energy only)
5.Swap out for <Pokemon>(costs an action, but switches to a new fresh/chilled Pokemon, Pokemon swapped out regain 12 energy per action that they are not in)

Please PM orders. Pokeathletes may post if they wish.

Clarification: Chance of tripping was an error, it should have been chance of NOT tripping in an action.

Formula for Running Energy expended per turn: 5*(No. of laps completed in the turn) + 2*(No. of laps completed earlier after coming in - 3, floored at 0)

The first turn of Relay Run proceeds fairly tamely. Ralts, Kitsunoh and Machamp run throughout the turn without bothering to attack anybody, and instead give the running their all. Scizor however, deviously does a frontal attack on Ralts!

Nobody seems to have tripped this turn, so let's see the performance of all the Pokemon this turn!

The round is once more uneventful, with most of the participants choosing to run all the way. GoldenKnight swaps out his Kitsunoh for Cyclohm! The newcomer promptly takes a hit from the front from Machamp. The Pokemon then continue to runm, and nothing else of event takes place.

At the end of the turn, Snorunt, having exhausted all its reserves of energy, faints! It is disqualified from the remaining part of Relay Run! The same fate awaits smashlloyd20's Machamp!

Most of the participants seem to decide to go for attacks this turn, and OmegaMan's Munchlax takes the field! Darkslay's Scizor just continues to run, with literally no orders! CYclohm takes frontal attacks from both

DarkSlay: -330 + 110 = -220
smashlloyd20: 70 + 120 = 190

It is now time for the last event, Block Smash!

Block Smash is one of the easier events in ASB Pokethlon, requiring very little effort. Trainers merely have to mention when they wish to switch Pokemon(if they wish to do so) on a turn. There is a chance of a Pokemon striking a crack on a block every action as it breaks blocks(6.25%), and if it does so, for the next 3 actions it will break double the number of blocks at the cost of being fatigued right afterwards. The same rules regarding chills applies from Relay Run.

Score is the number of blocks a team breaks multiplied by 1.5.

Power determines no. of blocks a Pokemon breaks in a turn, while Stamina determines how long a Pokemon can break blocks.

Each Pokemon has Stamina*25 energy
Blocks broken per action = 2*Power
Energy required per action = (Blocks*2)/stamina, floored

This Block Smash event begins, and none of the participants seem to have gotten lucky! Lets look at the status at the end of this first round....
