Afternoon Wi-Fi- Battle. Tricky(Fate) vs. CoupleofWords (Porygon2 fanservice!)

This match isn't as close, long or as gutsy as my other Warstory. But I wanted to do this one for the reason of Porygon2 in its full glory.
I'm sure your tired of seeing full OU vs. OU right?

I choose not to include LeftOvers and random Recovery and choose to record the signicant amounts of health differences. I do mention it often if its an important chuck of health in the turn.
I also probably missed 1-2 pokes that did have leftovers, but not mentioning it.
I also neglected Stealth Rock damage. Since with Leftovers + SR its hard estimating it with the eye, I just had the final Health % for the action of the atk or turn. % may be a little off, but its close enough to how the battle went.
And also since my Kingdra's Rain Dance didn't do much in the match, pay no attention to it since it went away with any of us really caring about it

Lets get this fight starring Porygon2 started.

Turn 1:

Dragonite used Aerial Ace(Breloom 1%)
Breloom hangs on with Focus Sash
Breloom used Spore
Dragonite Falls Asleep

yep, kind of sacrifical, but its a good thing to use sometimes to set the pace when you just want their lead unable to act. Afterwards, Words mentioned that he didn't mean to have Dragonite lead off.

Turn 2:

Fate withdraws Breloom
Fate sent in Kingdra
CoupleofWords withdraws Dragonite
CoupleofWords sent in Clefable

Double switching! I am quite a fan of these I say..

Turn 3:

Kingdra used Rain Dance
Clefable used Stealth Rock(gets poisoned from Toxic Orb)

That's interesting, never fought a Clefable before. Pretty neat.

Turn 4:

Couple of Words withdraws Clefable
Couple of Words sent in Vaporeon
Kingdra uses Surf, Vaporeon WaterAbsorbs

Good one. This irks me abit..

Turn 5:

Fate withdraws Kingdra
Fate sent in Porygon2(Traces Water Absorb)(SR damage)
Vaporeon used Roar
Drapion is dragged in(SR damage)(ouch)

Thinking he might Surf me back or something, Porygon2 makes its first appearance to take on predicted Surf. I was incorrect.
Seems Words wants to RoarSuffle me around with the Stealth Rocks

Turn 6:

Dragon uses Toxic Spikes
Vaporeon Roars
Drapion runs away
Swampert is dragged in(SR damage)

Knowing I won't be able to do crap to Vaporeon before he Roars my Drapion(1HIT,1KILL) out, I lay down a set of Toxic Spikes.

Turn 7:

Swmpert uses Stealth Rocks
vaporeon Roars
Swampert runs away.
Breloom is dragged in(1%, SR Damage, faints)

Yep. The teams I used are usually not particularly vunerable to rocks and spikes. So this Roaring isn't breaking my match as much. I'm alittle ahead now that I managed to set up some Toxic Spikes and my own Stealth Rocks.
Breloom dies once its dragged out, but that was inevitable.

Turn 8:

CoupleofWords sent in Heracross(SR damage)(Heracross is poisoned!)
Porygon2 used Thunderbolt(Heracross, 40%, poison damage(35%)

crap..activated Heracross's GUTS. Being a Swellow user, I know full well how dangerous this can be. Have to make a caluclated risk and hope it doesn't hit..

Turn 9:

Fate withdraws Porygon2
Fate sent in Mismagius(SR damage)
Heracross used Close Combat, Mismagius is IMMUNE
Heracross(poison damage, 25-30%)

I believe most Heras have CloseCombat/Earthquake so Mismagius is good for dodging 50% of the possibilities, was expecting Megahorn as well. But since Mismagius is a ghost, Bug is NVE against it and with luck it could have lived..I think

Turn 10:

Mismagius used Psychic(Heracross 0%, faints)

Nothing special, guess he felt Heracross was a goner anyway. With Stealth Rocks up, and poison it would have died if it switched in again.

Wonder why he didn't send it in before Dragonite, oh well..Drapion takes more damage than I expected >_< Half of that 65% was from previous Stealth Rock hits btw.

This is when I realized Tri-Attack is NVE against Jirachi..dang steel type..

hehe, I'm quite the lucky guy. Porygon2 getting frozen broke my heart, but it thawing out in the same turn to attack only made my love for it stronger.

Final Thoughts:

Second Smogon match so far.
Pretty fun. Though this one wasn't as close as the other story, I thought this story had good entertainment merit on the account of Porygon2.

Since Porygon-Z seems to be winning the popularity contest on more teams. I thought this was a good fight that showed just how more durable a Porygon2 can be than Z.

All Porygon2 fans give a clap for it!

Pros: Porygon2 taking the spotlight, yay. Mismagius getting some action

Cons: Not much. Porygon2 taking all the spotlight? lol..

Mental Notes: Again, my Swampert doesn't seem to do much..

Close to the end there, you said Clefable took poison damage. Except Clefable doesn't take poison damage with Magic Guard. So did he not have Magic Guard or did you forget not to put poison damage in there?

ah good point OmegaDonut, I have to say I don't remember.
Whetever it ended up taking poison damage or not, it didn't really affect the turns that much so I forgotten about in writing down the turns.

Ah, well since the Clefable had a Toxic Orb of its own, I'm assuming it was a Magic Guard + Facade set.

I pretty much gave up when Dragonite and Heracross were killed. Zam was supposed to be my lead; Dragonite was only it because I was training it previously and forgot to switch it back.

I just tried to have fun the rest of the battle.

And no, Clefable didn't take poison damage. He didn't get poisoned by the toxic spikes, but rather by teh toxic orb.

Well played though. I cried two times in this match:

1. Porygon-Z having 4 HP left from a Zen Headbutt CH.
2. Porygon-Z getting frozen by ice beam...and getting thawed out right after. I mean seriously, WTF.

I want a rematch some time.

I was obsessed with Maplestory during the beta.
Was like the 6th Highest Hunter before it went into Open.

Lol I hate Maplestory. I quit after two days because it took too long to get exp. I just remembered reading the word Focus as one of the abilities of a Bowman in a Gamefaqs guide I was reading on the first day I played.

I find it funny how Heracross and Pert are the most OU on those teams but they barely did anything. Jirachi is kind of rare.

Lol. Lvl 50+ in Beta here. Quit at lvl 60 in the Bera server.

And someone among us is a lvl 100+ Legendary Ranger (Bowman->Hunter->Ranger). Lets see if he decides to tell us who he is :-p

Yeah, it's a Dragonite now and it can own hard, especially if I set it up for 1-2 DD's.

Many Major Props for using a Drapion and Kingdra in your team. Two of my favorite pokemons. I have to say, reading how well Porygon2 did in this battle make me want to use one myself.
