Arena: vader's Basement

What do we have here? It seems that we stumbled upon a house in the suburbs. In this house, there's a basement modeled after a Pokemon arena. It's fairly small and surrounded by small models of Porygon and Rotom. There's a bathroom located down here, but there's not enough water to cause a Surf. The ground is made of hardwood, so seismic activity can still be used. However, there is no place to Dig down here. Furthermore, this arena is smaller compared to most (although apparently a medium sized ceiling), so only Basic Stage 1 (not counting Pokemon who can't evolve) and Baby Pokemon are allowed. Hopefully we won't get vadre's basement into a mess...

Summary: Small water source, but no Surf. EQ / Earth Power / Magnitude allowed, but not Dig. Only Basic Stage 1 (not counting Pokemon who can't evolve) and Baby Pokemon are allowed.

All right, time to bring out the HEAT!

Go, Willow the Embirch!

The only thing heat makes is some STEAM!

Go, Allergy the Gastly!

Go Thundah the Magnemite and Clowncrete the Dokka!

Thundah: I REALLY fucking hate Gastly. Smack it with a Thunderbolt. Then, send it dancing with a Supersonic. Finish off with Thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt ~ Supersonic ~ Thunderbolt

Clowncrete: K. First off, if Gastly attacks you, hit it with Payback (but only once). Anyways, brofist Embirch with a Drain Punch. Then ram into it with Stone Edge. Finish off with another Drain Punch.

Drain Punch ~ Stone Edge ~ Drain Punch. If Gastly attacks, Payback it, but only once.

Hm...what an interesting start to the match! Let's get off on the right foot, shall we?

Allergy, start off the match by firing a strong Hypnosis at Thundah! That should prevent it from firing off that Thunderbolt and maybe that Supersonic. Next, use Disable on Clowncrete's Drain Punch! Finally, smash Thundah with Hidden Power Fighting!

Willow, begin the match with a Leech Seed on Clowncrete! Then, follow that up with a Substitute (21 HP) to tank that Stone Edge! Finally, finish this one off with a Flamethrower at Thundah!

So:

Allergy: Hypnosis (Thundah) -> Disable (Clowncrete) -> Hidden Power Fighting (Thundah)

Willow: Leech Seed (Clowncrete) -> Substitute (21 HP) -> Flamethrower (Thundah)

Round One Start!

In the middle of nowhere, a house appears. It appears to be a regular house, but upon approaching it, you see that it is none other than the house of WONDERTWINS VADRE. Like any curious person, you enter the house uninvited. It appears that nobody is in here. Oh? What's that? Stairs leading downwards? You take the stairs downwards, and oh! There's another trainer down there! You look curiously at the opposing trainer, and you know what happens when trainers make eye contact... *battle music*

On one side of the battlefieldbasement, we have Allergy the Gastly and Willow the Embirch! On the other side, we have Thunda the Magnemite and Clowncrete the Dokkora! In between the two, we have... a toilet. Remind me, who designed this house again?

The round starts off with a huge proverbial bang as Allergy zooms over to Thunda, leaving a trail of poisonous gases in her wake. Staring into Thunda's one tiny eye, Allergy manages to make eye contact and release powerful hypnotic waves, lulling Thunda into a relatively deep sleep. Willow shoots some seeds at Clowncrete in one fluid motion; the seeds latch on to Clowncrete and immediately start sapping health. As Thunda continues to slumber, Clowncrete smashes Willow hard with a Drain Punch, healing the non-existent damage taken.

Allergy takes her attention off of Thunda, now opting to head towards Clowncrete. Worming her way into Clowncrete's recent memories, she finds the usage of Drain Punch and temporarily destroys it. I never knew that allergies could be that devious! Willow takes advantage of a sleeping opponent to create a substitute doll made with substantial health.
SubstituteG4f.png
How cute! Clowncrete seems to be unaffected by this cuteness, thrusting sharp rocks into overly cute plushie. The doll takes the hit in stride, though its face doesn't register that at all. Thunda continues to be sleeping; since when did magnets sleep?

Finally deciding to attack, Allergy sends out a powerful ring of energy directed at Thunda. The energy passes through Willow and Clowncrete just fine, but it smacks Thunda for heavy damage. Willow follows this up with a powerful Flamethrower also aimed at the sleeping magnet, which hits Thunda for heavy damage as well. Ooof. Thunda finally wakes up, retaliating with a strong Thunderbolt that strikes Gastly right through the gases. Clowncrete attempts to fire off a Drain Punch at Willow, but for some reason, can't seem to remember the exact technique. Oh well, better luck next time.

DarkSlay's turn.

Okay team, we're in a great position here to do some major damage! Well done!

Allergy, start off the round using Confuse Ray on Thundah! Then hit it with HP Fighting! Finish it up with a Shadow Ball at Clowncrete! Thundah might use Thunder Wave on you, but we actually want that: it will make you slower than Clowncrete, halving Payback's damage!

Willow, start to fry Thundah again with a Flamethrower! Then smack it again with Ember to KO it for good! Turn your attention to Clowncrete and use Giga Drain to finish off the round!

So:

Allergy: Confuse Ray (Thundah) -> HP Fighting (Thundah) -> Shadow Ball (Clowncrete)

Willow:Flamethrower (Thundah) -> Ember (Thundah) -> Giga Drain (Clowncrete)

Thundah, don't give up without a fight! Thunderbolt Embirch, and Thunderbolt Gastly! Then Thunderbolt Gastly again! Clowncrete, use this time to Bulk Up, and ram into Embirch with a Stone Edge. Then, give Gastly a little Payback for all the havoc it caused!

Also Clowncrete, if Thundha failed to destroy Embirch's sub on the first action, do this instead: Stone Edge (Embirch) ~ Bulk Up ~ Payback (Gastly)

Round Two Start!

The matchup in vadre's basement doesn't seem to be even right now. On one side of the basement, we have a tired Magnemite and a fresh Dokkora, whereas on the other side we have a fresh Gastly and a... doll. Willow is nowhere to be seen, presumably hiding somewhere. Around the basement, some of the Porygon figurines have been damaged; let's hope we can get out of here before Vadre comes back.

Same as last round, Allergy starts the round off by targeting poor Thunda. Instead of releasing hypnotic energy, however, Allergy simply releases a ray that lazily winds itself towards Thunda, putting the Magnemite in an intense state of confusion. Hopping out from the shadows, Willow strikes Magnemite with a powerful Flamethrower, taking advantage of Thunda's confused state. Willow immediately hops back into the shadows, where nobody can see her. Thunda attempts to aim a Thunderbolt at the doll, but it's quite hard to focus through confusion. In the end, Thunda breaks through and destroys the doll with a huge bolt of thunder. Clowncrete seems to be unperturbed by his partner being repeatedly attacked, flexing his own muscles to raise his attack and defense by one stage each.

Going in for the kill, Gastly shoots out a ring of powerful fighting energy that, once again, only affects poor Thunda, who takes significant damage but hangs on by just a couple HP. Willow quickly puts it out of its misery with a small Ember. Clowncrete seems to have finally stopped being oblivious to his partner's pains, ramming into the exposed Willow with sharp stones, dealing significant damage.

With one opponent dead, Allergy and Willow turn to their remaining opponent with menacing looks in their eyes. A purple-black blob of shadowy material is hurled at Clowncrete just as Willow aims a red beam of energy at him; both of them hit for significant damage; the latter even restores some health to the worn Willow! Clowncrete takes the hit in stride and retaliates with a powerful Payback, hitting the Gastly for quite a bit of damage.

The seeds fall off of Clowncrete.

Not much to do now. Clowncrete, start off by Bulking Up again. Hooray, you now have Drain Punch back! Before that blasted Gastly can disable it, punch Embirch right in the face. End this with a Stone Edge aimed at Embirch! Let's try to aim for a KO counter!

All right guys, way to go! Time to finish this one off! I want Gastly to get the final experience counter, so let's give this a shot:

Allergy, don't worry about getting hit this round and fire off three Shadow Balls in a row. That should net you a KO on the last turn.

Willow, start out the round with a minimum HP Substitute (15 HP). That should stop Drain Punch from healing too much damage for the KO the next round. Then, fire off a Flamethrower at Clowncrete under the Sub. If for some reason Clowncrete is still alive, finish the match with Ember.

So:

Allergy: Shadow Ball -> Shadow Ball -> Shadow Ball

Willow: Substitute (15 HP) -> Flamethrower -> Ember

It seems that the match is now over; the question is, can Clowncrete hold on for one more turn? Allergy shoots another shadowy blob at Clowncrete, hitting for more damage than expected! >_> Willow follows this up by dropping another doll down, while Clowncrete stretches his muscles again, raising his attack and defense by one stage each. Allergy hurls another ball of shadows at Clowncrete, hitting for significant damage again. Willow finally opts to attack this time, shooting a stream of red-hot flames at the poor little Fighting-type Pokemon. Clowncrete responds by smashing the cute cloth doll with a powerful punch, healing some health while destroying the substitute. Allergy finishes off the tired Clowncrete with a third shadow ball, knocking him unconscious.

Good game Limewire. Thanks for being a great opponent. :) Sorry about not getting a KO counter, though - my Gastly really needs one! x_x

Good job reffing Engineer. Always a pleasure!
