DQ 4 days, with the qualifier that I'm in a show this weekend, so I might take a little longer until next Monday.
No recovers/3 chills

Arena: The Dartmouth Green http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Dartmouth_College_campus_2007-10-20_34,_crop_1.jpg

It is spring, so there is a warmth in the air. The surface is diggable, however, the large number of historic buildings (not to mention ongoing classes!) prevent the use of Earthquake or other moves that would permanently affect areas outside of the green. (Ex: Blizzard is fine, because it'll melt eventually, but Hurricane is unacceptable.)

Slight edit because I can't spell.
I accept, Deoxys.

No items.
All Abilities.

Go, my delicious device of death!

Byte!

In that case, Eoleo (Privatyke), let's go! Start off by creating a thick Smokescreen to blind Byte, then Yawn at him. Finish the round with a Brick Break.

Smokescreen >>> Yawn >>> Brick Break

Okay, Byte, start off by Locking On to Eoleo to negate that Smokescreen (at least for a bit). Then hit him with a Zap Cannon. Finish up with a Shift Gear so as to be full of vim and vigor next round.

Abilities:
Unaware: (Innate) When this Pokemon is released, a light aura enshrouds the opponent, nullifying all stat boosts or reductions other than Speed, it remains while this Pokemon is active.

Klutz (DW): (Can be Disabled) The Pokemon moves in a rare style of battling that uses an unpredictable, clumsy looking manner. The accuracy of its attacks are increased by 10% (flat). While engaging in this style it cannot use a hold item, however an item is necessary to pull it off.

We stand here at the center of the Dartmouth Green, where two trainers are preparing to engage in PokeCombat! deoxys314 starts by sending out Byte the Klink, who appears ready to battle. Son_of_Shadoo decides that this looks like a job for his Privatyke, Eoleo! Eoleo takes the initiative by creating a Smokescreen, obscuring Byte's vision. That doesn't stop Byte from being able to Lock-On to its foe, ensuring that its next attack will hit.

Eoleo seems to be rather bored by Byte's tactics and he starts to Yawn. Eoleo's yawning appears to have an effect on Byte, who is looking rather drowsy. Byte begins to charge up electricity into a ball. He then fires the charged up electricity directly at Eoleo. The Zap Cannon jolts all through his body, paralyzing him.

Byte then Shifts Gears, letting it move at top speeds as well as increasing its attack. Eoleo begins to charge towards Byte..."charge" being used loosely, considering Eoleo is moving at 1/4 speed. He raises his hand, as it begins to glow white, and slams it down on Byte with enough power to Break Bricks. The smokescreen then fades away, having done absolutely nothing of significance.

Byte:
Lock-On = [6 Energy]
Zap Cannon - [12+(2-2)x1.5]x1.5 = [18 Damage] [9 Energy]
Shift Gear = [6 Energy]

Eoleo:
Smokescreen = [4 Energy]
Yawn = [7 Energy]
Brick Break - [8+3+(4-3)x1.5]x1.5 = [19 Damage] [5 Energy]

Okay, Byte.

Gear Grind him, then Charge up, and finish off with Charge Beam!
When you fall asleep, try to wake up as soon as possible! Do whatever I ordered that action, even if you had to skip one.

Awwww, that was mean...

Use Smokescreen before he can hit with Gear Grind, then Brick Break as he charges. Brick Break again, I guess.

The round starts, and Byte looks like it could fall asleep at any minute. It dashes towards Eoleo and smacks him twice. Unfortunately, the type disadvantage reduces the effectiveness of Byte's attacks. That's really going to Grind his Gears. Eoleo then spurts out another Smokescreen, blurring Byte's vision. This doesn't seem to be a properly timed smokescreen, as Byte then falls into a deep sleep.

Eoleo takes advantage of his sleeping foe and runs towards Byte. He nails Byte with a Brick Break. Byte begins to stir but doesn't wake up. Eoleo's arm begins to glow white once again and he brings it slamming down onto Byte. This jolt appears to wake Byte up, but it cannot keep taking these repeated Brick Breaks from Eoleo.

Byte:
Gear Grind - [(5+5)+3+(2-3)x1.5]x0.67+1x1.5= [9 Damage] [6 Energy]

Eoleo:

Alright, I'm in favour of just Brick Breaking til he goes down, but use another Smokescreen first, just in case. Unless he locks on, in which case, forego Smokescreen.

Byte starts this round by moving towards Eoleo and Gripping him like a Vice. Just as the previous Smokescreen begins to fade, Eoleo creates another one. He really doesn't want Byte to see him.

It's tough to see in the thick of the Smokescreen, but it looks like Byte is starting to rotate his Gears, Grinding Eoleo in between them. Eoleo then once again smashes Byte with another powerful Brick Break, freeing him from Byte's grasp.

It seems that Byte wants to keep on the offensive and goes in again for the Gear Grind. Eoleo takes the hit and retaliates with what could be the final blow. His hand begins to glow white and he brings it down on Byte. Byte falls to the ground. Eoleo's Brick Breaks were just to much for the Pokemon to handle.

Byte:
ViceGrip - 6+(2-3)x1.5+1x1.5 = [6 Damage] [4 Energy]
Gear Grind - [(5+5)+3+(2-3)x1.5]x0.67+1x1.5= [9 Damage] [6 Energy]

deoxys314, your new Pokemon please.

Okay, Dino, let's make Eoleo stand down!

252.gif

First off, hit him with an Aerial Ace! Then, Leech Seed him so we can start waering him down. Finally, Slam him with another Ace!

Attaboy Eoleo! Show him the wrath of the Champa pirates! ... Even if you are a Water type!

Well, our Smokescreens won't work if he's going to use Aerial Ace, but we can work around that. Stand your ground against the first Aerial Ace, and Yawn in his face. Then smack him with an Ice Punch after he tries to seed you. Finish the round by... Recovering :)

To keep this short, Eoleo is unable to move as Dino strikes him with a super effective Aerial Ace. He then spits out some (Leech) Seeds at Eoleo to sap Eoleo's life. Dino follows up by hitting Eoleo with another Aerial Ace.

First off, smack him with another Aerial Ace while he recovers. Then, use a blisteringly obnoxious Screech to counter his yawn. If it lowered his defense, Aerial Ace again, otherwise, Screech a second time to soften him up.

Dino continues the assault from last round, by striking Eoleo with another Aerial Ace. Eoleo is finally able to move, and he Recovers off the damage, and then some. Eoleo seems bored by the pitiful damage Dino is doing, as he starts to Yawn. Dino begins to Screech to lower Eoleo's Defense. But it seems that the sound waves from the two attacks had cancelled each other out. Dino Screeches once again, desperately trying to lower Eoleo's Defense. Although the screech affected Eoleo, he doesn't hesitate as his hand becomes covered in Ice, and he Punches Dino, sending him flying back.

SoS, you're new Pokemon and orders.

Spiffy (Monohm F), let's go! I want you to alternate between Flamethrower and Signal Beam. Let's keep it simple, baby.

Flamethrower >>> Signal Beam >>> Flamethrower

Danmantincan, it seems I only sent you Spiffy's level up moves. Oops. You can see her full moveset in the link in my sig, it hasn't changed since I sent the PM.

Okay Dino, this guy is tough. First, Leech Seed him, then Screech loudly so he'll take more damage from your Aerial Ace.

Spiffy the Monohm enters the fray, ready to avenge her comrade. Dino eyes his target and quickly spits some Seeds at Spiffy. Just as Spiffy is about to counter attack, the seeds Leech some of her life. She doesn't let that stop her and she breathes a stream of fire that connects with her target. Dino gets sent reeling back by the powerful Flamethrower.

Dino quickly recovers and begins to Screech. It seems her yelling is having a negative on impact on Spiffy, appearing to lower her Defense. Spiffy is quick to retaliate, and launches a Beam of scrambled Signals. These attacks are taking their toll on Dino, as the grassy-dinosaury-thingy is losing health fast.

In an attempt to deal as much damage before his end, Dino rushes in and strikes Spiffy with an Aerial Ace. Even though her Defense was lowered, Spiffy laughs at the attack and launches another Flamethrower from point blank. Dino comes crashing to the ground. He slowly rises to his feat, exhausted. It seems the health he regained from the seeds has given him one last breath.
