I'll leave signups open for a few more hours. The first 20 people are guaranteed in, and the last 12 will be selected randomly from the rest of the signups, as described in the OP. Anyone who misses the cut will get first priority as subs.

Round 1 Rules:

  • Standard RU match, best of 1.
  • You must use your selected Pokemon.
  • All of the Pokemon on your team must be from The Pool below.
  • If you win, you must post a new Pokemon to add to your team for the following round. This Pokemon must not already be in The Pool, and must not have been selected by another Round 1 winner already.
  • The 5 substitutes who posted a Pokemon during sign-ups have their Pokemon included in The Pool. If they end up subbing in, they will use their original Pokemon. Any new substitutes will have to use the Pokemon of the person they are subbing in for. At the end of Round 1, the 5 unused Pokemon (belonging to either unused subs or the people they subbed in for) will be removed from The Pool and made available for surviving players to select beginning in Round 3.
  • The deadline for Round 1 matches is 8:00pm PDT on Saturday June 1st.
