[OVERVIEW]

  • Accelgor seems like a really weird pokemon to use now, it doesn't have much going for it bar the Speed stat.
  • It functions as a suicide Spikes lead.
  • It's main things going for it over other hazard leads is that it has Bug Buzz to deal with the premier spinner vs Hyper Offensive Teams; Starmie
  • Accelgor is also a really good pokemon for Hyper Offensive teams is that STAB Bug Buzz allows you to kill Espeon and have a good chance of 2HKOing Xatu.
  • Deo-D banning helped it out in terms of having a larger niche.
  • Fastest viable mon in the game (Ninjask?)
  • Frail, does not have any other use to that.

  • Accelgor's main role is a suicide spikes lead.
  • It can also disrupt some other lead's work with moves such as Final Gambit.
  • Has formidable coverage against spinners and other threats.
  • Spikes is the crux of the set, offering pressure on Hyper Offensive teams.
  • Bug Buzz is your main STAB while OHKOing Starmie.
  • Focus Blast is your main weapon against most steel-types that you will encounter, doing feasible damage to other hazard leads like Skarm.
  • Yawn can either cripple the foe and give you a decent chance of set-up opportunities with your sweepers if they let themselves go to sleep. It also makes you not set-up fodder against some pokemon and force them about. It can stop set-up without having to sacrifice itself allowing it to set up more spikes.
  • Final Gambit is a strong asset knocking out a pokemon that maybe intially troubling stopping any set-up given it has enough HP. It also gives you momentum to stop the opposition from spinning.
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

  • The EV spread lets Accelgor do more damage and outspeed Alakazam and Dugtrio. It also still has enough HP to deal with Terrakion and Keldeo with Final Gambit
  • A Nature will warrant a EV spread of 120 HP / 252 SpA / 136 Spe which lets you outspeed Jolteon, +1 Gyarados, and +1 Dragonite. Max SpA is there to dish out as much damage while also giving you the ability to knock out Keldeo, Terrakion, and Dragonite from full health with Final Gambit thanks to it's HP Investment.
  • U-Turn is the main move to regain momentum, preserve it a bit to potentially revenge kill something random.
  • Hidden Power Ice can also be used to wreck Dragon types that may set-up on you.
  • HP Fire can be used to OHKO Forretress most of the time.
  • HP Rock stops Gyarados from setting up on you and deals with Fire-Types not named Nape or Heatran when in the rain.
  • 208 Speed and Timid allows you to outspeed +2 Jolly Crustle which may help even though it is obscure.
  • Lum Berry can be used to deal with Pokemon that use status to deal with Accelgor such as Breloom or Amoonguss.
  • The Unburden ability lets you set up 2 layers of Spikes even against scarfers as you double your speed when your sash breaks.
  • Accelgor should be used on Hyper Offensive teams, so a spinblocker would help.
  • Rain Dance can disrupt opposing leads' weather, can even be used on mono-rain teams.
  • Gengar is the best offensive spinblocker.
  • Gothitelle deals with Tentacruel -- the spinner Accelgor doesn't beat. Gothitelle is also a great asset on Hyper Offense in general. The Scarf set also helps vs Starmie.
  • Pokemon that can abuse Spikes as there pressure tool rather than SR are welcome such as SubSalac Terrakion, who already has Rock coverage.
    If you run Rain Dance, Kingdra and other swimmers really work out.

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]

  • Priority stops Accelgor from getting two layers.
  • Well played spinners stops Accelgor's work
  • It's easy to kill Accelgor as it is very frail
  • It can be set-up fodder at times with Substitute Pokemon that can bypass Final Gambit such as SubDD Gyarados if it gets a Sub as Accelgor sets up Spikes.
  • Any SE or feasibly powerful attack can kill/bring down to Sash

[Overview]

<p>One glance at Accelgor would give you the impression that it's nothing better than a mediocre Pokemon. Its defenses are low, making it hard to stand out among many bulkier leads in OU. Even if is bulkier than some, that is often a moot point due to the rising use of Custap Berry leads. Additionaly, Accelgor's lack of Stealth Rock and / or Taunt makes it even harder for Accelgor to look like an appealing lead.</p>

<p>However, Accelgor has a certain niche as a suicide Spikes lead that allows it to make its mark in OU. Accelgor's outstanding base 145 Speed allows it to outspeed every Pokemon in OU, making the process of Spikes-stacking much easier. Its offenses, while not the greatest, at least give its attacks some power. Unlike other suicide Spikes leads, such as Skarmory and Forretress, Accelgor has no problem at all against Starmie, which it outspeeds and OHKOes. In addition, Accelgor can 2HKO Forretress and Donphan, two spinners that Forretress and Skarmory can't defeat single-handedly. Furthermore, due to its godlike Speed, no Pokemon other than one with Prankster can prevent Accelgor from setting up at least one layer of Spikes, while both Forretress and Skarmory can both easily be outsped and rendered useless by Taunt. Accelgor also fares well against the two common users of Magic Bounce, Espeon and Xatu. Finally, Accelgor can make excellent use of Final Gambit, enabling Accelgor to dent or KO a Pokemon of its choice when at full HP, which separates it from Froslass. While Accelgor might look like it's majorly outclassed in this metagame, it can pull off a specific niche of Spikes-stacking very well, and it will not disappoint if used properly.</p>

With its blazing Speed and decent Special Attack, Accelgor can guarantee at least one layer of Spikes on the opposing team's field. Accelgor also carries attacks that can dispose of Rapid Spin users such as Starmie, as well as Magic Bounce users. Accelgor also can prevent spinners from removing Spikes from the field thanks to Final Gambit while also preventing opposing leads from fulfilling their own roles.</p>

<p>Spikes is the focus of this set, as it aids offensive teammates in KOing their targets while also punishing switches. Accelgor doesn't have to worry about Xatu and Espeon bouncing back its entry hazards due to its STAB Bug Buzz, which hits them for heavy damage. Final Gambit is a great last-resort move to turn to when you want to prevent the opponent from using Rapid Spin against you, stop most setup sweepers from boosting any further, or provide a free switch into one of Accelgor's teammates. Focus Blast provides a powerful coverage move, hitting Rock- and Steel-types for super effective damage. Yawn, on the other hand, helps force switches, racking up Spikes damage. It is the only way that Accelgor has to prevent setup if it doesn't want to sacrifice itself, and also allows it to force out spinners that it can't beat, such as Tentacruel and specially defensive Forretress. Yawn also helps in dealing with Substitute users.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>188 Speed EVs allow Accelgor to outspeed Alakazam and Dugtrio, two of the fastest Pokemon in OU. The given HP EVs raise Accelgor's HP stat to 323, allowing it to OHKO Keldeo, Terrakion, and Dragonite with Final Gambit at full HP, while the rest are poured into Special Attack to give Accelgor a decent offensive presence. A Modest nature allows Accelgor to 2HKO Xatu with Bug Buzz and 2HKO Terrakion with Focus Blast. Having Focus Sash on Accelgor is mandatory, as it guarantees at least one layer of Spikes. It pairs well with Accelgor's ability, Unburden, which doubles its Speed when the Focus Sash breaks, allowing Accelgor to pull off one more attack. A 0 IV in Attack minimizes confusion recoil.</p>

<p>Lum Berry is a valid option, as it can heal any status Accelgor might be inflicted with, specifically sleep from Pokemon such as Breloom and Amoonguss. Hidden Power Ice, Fire, and Rock can be used to check Dragon-types, Forretress, and Gyarados, respectively. Timid is an alternative nature for Accelgor, letting it outspeed Jolteon, +1 Gyarados, and +1 Dragonite. If a Timid nature is used, an EV spread of 120 HP / 252 SpA / 136 Spe EV is recommended: maximum investment is placed into Special Attack so that Accelgor has a 70% chance to 2HKO Xatu with Bug Buzz. The rest is thrown into HP to increase Final Gambit's power. 208 Speed EVs paired with Timid allow Accelgor to outspeed +2 Jolly Crustle, but in most cases, Crustle is too obscure of a threat to bother with additional Speed EVs specifically to check it.</p>

<p>This variant of Accelgor is often used on hyper offensive teams due to the offensive pressure it provides with Spikes. For example, Terrakion and Latios are good partners for Accelgor because they benefit from having entry hazards up to aid their sweeping. A spinblocker is also a good ally, as it can prevent a Rapid Spin user from removing Accelgor's Spikes. Gengar is a great offensive spinblocker and fits well on hyper offensive teams. Gothitelle in particular is a great partner to Accelgor, as he can defeat Tentacruel, one of the only spinners Accelgor can't defeat due to its bulk and resistance to Bug Buzz.</p>

[Other Options]

<p>Accelgor's movepool is extremely limited, so it has very little to offer outside of the role of Spikes lead. However, Accelgor can make good use of its alternative ability, Hydration. In rain, Accelgor would be able to heal off any damage with Rest, and Hydration would get rid of any statuses, increasing its lifespan. It also does well against walls that don't hit very hard, such as specially defensive Jirachi. However, Accelgor's inherent flimsiness doesn't allow it the time to actually last long enough in a match. A set with a Life Orb and U-turn is a viable option, as it turns Accelgor into a late-game sweeper and doesn't require any setup while displaying versatility in move selection. Recover is an interesting option to use, healing Accelgor when necessary and pairing well with Final Gambit. However, Accelgor doesn't often have time to use Recover, preferring to just set up Spikes. Finally, Baton Pass can be utilized to pass Agility boosts to slower teammates.</p>

[Checks and Counters]

<p>Accelgor's pitiful defenses allow it to be easily KOed. Powerful priority attackers, such as Scizor, can 2HKO Accelgor before it can retaliate. It often finds itself as setup bait for many Pokemon wielding Substitute, as they can block Final Gambit. However, Accelgor can get past them if it carries Yawn. Choice Band Tyranitar can OHKO Accelgor through its Focus Sash thanks to the damage from sandstorm. Tentacruel is one of the few Rapid Spin users that Accelgor can't directly threaten; however, the presence of Final Gambit prevents Tentacruel from using Rapid Spin freely. Sableye deserves a mention as well, as it hard counters Accelgor with a priority Taunt thanks to Prankster. Choice Scarf users that have access to strong attacks, such as Garchomp and Thundurus-T, can quickly bring Accelgor down before it can truly strike back; however, they can only manage to 2HKO Accelgor due to its Focus Sash, so one layer of Spikes is almost always bound to be set. Overall, it's not difficult to take Accelgor down; any super effective or reasonably powerful attack can bring Accelgor down to its Focus Sash or outright kill it.</p>
 
The whole first paragraph is somewhat uneeded. When talking about downsides of Accelgor you should only stick to the downsides it has as a suicide lead, as this is the only role that Accelgor will take on a team. So mention that it has no Taunt and no SR in comparison to other suicide leads (Skarmory, Forretress, and Froslass are all suicide spikers that have one of those things over Accelgor).

Also when talking about its pros, once again focus on its pros over other Spikers, such as the ones i mentioned. Unlike Skarmory and Forretress, Accelgor has no problem at all against Starmie, as it outspeeds and OHKOes. It also can 2HKO Forretress and Donphan, two spinners that beat Forretress and Skarmory. Furthermore due to its godlike Speed, no Pokemon other than Prankster users can prevent Accelgor from setting up 1 layer of Spikes, unlike Forretress and Skarmory which can all easily be Taunted. Accelgor also can beat both Magic Bounce Pokemon, unlike Skarmory and Forretress. Finally, what Accelgor has over Froslass is the ability to deal with Starmie much better and Final Gambit, which enables Accelgor to nuke a Pokemon of its choice when at full health.

With its blazing Speed and decent Special Attack, Accelgor can not only guarantee at least one layer of Spikes to the opposing team, it can also inflict damage to them, if necessary.
The second part of this sentence is unecessary. Most suicide leads can deal damage at the opponent, so you don't need to mention this for Accelgor.

Spikes is the key factor to this set, as it can build pressure on opponents, causing them to think twice before switching

When talking about Yawn, mention how it is the only way that Accelgor has to prevent setup if it doesn't want to sacrifice itself, and also allows it to force out spinners that it can't beat, such as Tentacrul and SpD Forretress, to continue using Spikes. Oh and it deals with Sub users too.

Remove the mention of Jellicent, as no defensive team would want Accelgor. Mention that unlike other suicide spikers, Accelgor can't prevent hazards from going up, so it would be bette not to use SR weak Pokemon with Accelgor unless your team packs a spinner.

Finally, the checks and counters are a mess. Why do you even mention entry hazards when Accelgor is leading 99% of the time? Instead mention CBTar which OHKOes through the sash thanks to sand, Scizor which 2HKOes with Bullet Punch, and Tentacruel if Accelgor doesn't have Yawn, which can freely spin on Accelgor. Also mention Sableye, which hard counters. When talking about Scarfers, mention how they can 2HKO, letting Accelgor get up only 1 layer of Spikes, but they also can be setup on by Accelgor's teammates after. When talking about Sub, mention that Yawn versions aren't troubled by it.
 
A LO sweeper set should be mentioned in OO. It's far from terrible - it's a good late-game cleaner that doesn't need to set up and can switch moves. With hydration + rest/recover it can also beat some of the offensively weaker walls, which you might expect Accelgor to lose to (I've seen one beat my specially defensive jirachi before, for example).

I don't know if this matters much, but, "infliction" is a word, "inflictions" is not. If it doesn't matter, than I apologize and ignore those changes. If it does, then implement those changes.

"Feasibly" means that it's possible and logical to do something. A word like "reasonably" or "decently" conveys the message you are trying to get across.

There's also a couple things that should always be avoided. First off, "may" is a very vague word. Generally, it should be changed to either "might" or "can" for a more definite meaning. The word "since" implies the passage of time, so "as" should almost always be used in its place. There were also many places where your sentence structure was just plain wrong.
