I will disagree here. Not for the p2w part, yes you're practically forced to buy the DLCs or at very least have someone who buys them and is willing to trade the legendaries to play competitive. But... how is it any different from how it was before exactly? In fact, it was even worse before...

Just because Home isnt there doesn't mean they can't distribute them via events (like they did for G-max melmetal) or just... be in the game. Meltan and Melmetal can both be around even if you can't evolve one into the other after all.

There's also imo one more issue with a ipotetical "Mega Tinkaton". Tinkaton's design, both conceptually and gameplay wise, is all based around the big bonk. This poses the balance limitation where since his entire combat distribution is based around the fact it has a 160 BP move, they cant...

I'll try to be positive about it. Being able to "go in the game blind" with 0 informations about what's in it on the internet other than the official sources and maybe the leaks will be a interesting "old" experience compared to going into the games while already knowing every single new...

I'd also point that such kind of move distributions make a lot more sense when the gimmick is coming to main series games (where they get exposed to people during gameplay). A simple example is the genies getting new signature moves in LA, and them having them in SV while being part of the first...

I still wish they'd do either some more legenday raids (expecially version exclusives, like they did for palkia/dialga), or the other hisuian mons. We do have at minimum a year before the next game, I don't think they will want to leave the raid stagnating surely...

Well we already saw with Zygarde that they don't mind the idea of having moves that change on mega evolving, so those *are* a possibility. Whenever those actually will come to main series / champions, that's a separate can of cookies.
