Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I have been experimenting with a variety of VGC 2018 teams based on Mega Charizard Y's Drought, but finally came to the realization to include a chlorophyll tank such as Venusaur after a friend and I's discussion about how annoying Strength Sap Vileplume are while doing Random Battles on Pokemon...
You'd think it'd recognize the folders the teams are stored in and organizing them alphabetically based on that before organizing then based on the file name itself, but if it can't be helped there's really no point in fighting it.
It seems the Downloadble Client for PS takes priority in ordering the teams based on "Alphabetical Team Name>All" over "Alphabetical Folder Name>In-Folder Team Order" which means upon opening the program, it will shuffle all of my teams into said array instead of how I had them previously order...
Discovered the problem: It will not save teams with "<" or ">" in the name because a file name cannot contain those characters. I'd also guess this also occurs with all other unusable characters
I've found a bug in the downloadable client. It does not save imported teams when using "Backup/Restore all teams." They appear and are usable after import, but upon exiting and reentering the program, they and all of their respective folders are deleted/not present. When I open the "Reveal...
attemping to move "[Team1][Team1] Offensive" back into the "Teams" folder will forcefully put the "[gen6]" tag on it instead of returning it to its uncategorized state
For example:
Making a team named "[Team1] Offensive" and putting it in the folder "Teams"
Upon refreshing the page, it has been removed from the "Team" folder and put into a folder named "Team/[Team1]" and the team has been renamed [Team1][Team1] Offensive"
I found a bug in the Teambuilder. When putting "[]" in the name of a team, upon refreshing, it attempts to put the teams into a category folder (such as [gen6] and etc.), even if it is in a folder already.
Alternatively, is there access to the Teambuilder's source code so I may do it myself? I am looking through the sources and have yet to find the file containing the source for the Teambuilder.
