The OMotM, or Other Metagame of the Month, is the metagame that is voted by the community to be showcased on the main server for a specific month.

Introduction to Godly Gift

Godly Gift, which is June's OMotM, is a stat-changing OM that allows players to have one Uber Pokémon (called the god) per team. All of the other Pokémon have one base stat replaced with the god's depending on their placement in the team, with places one through six correlating with the god's stats. For example, if a player had a Ho-Oh in the HP (first) teamslot and a Tangrowth in the Special Defense (fifth) teamslot, the Ho-Oh would retain its base 106 HP and Tangrowth's meager base 50 Special Defense would turn into Ho-Oh's whopping base 154 (all of Tangrowth's other stats stay the same). If the god is an Uber that can either Mega Evolve or has in-battle forme changes, such as Mega Blaziken or Primal Groudon, the receivers would take on the base stats of the base forme. In addition, if the receiver can Mega Evolve or change forme in-battle, such as Scizor and its Mega Evolution or Greninja and Ash-Greninja, the receiver will continue to take on the stat that its teamslot correlates with, regardless of forme (Scizor in slot five with Ho-Oh as the god will have a base 154 Special Defense stat, even after Mega Evolving).

Good Gods and Reliable Receiver Cores

Deoxys-A + Tapu Lele + Mega Heracross

Deoxys-A (Defense or Special Defense) + Tapu Lele (Special Attack) + Mega Heracross (Speed)

One of the best hyper offense cores, Deoxys-A + Tapu Lele + Mega Heracross is amazing. Although it might seem suboptimal to use Deoxys-A due to its really low base 20 Defense and Special Defense stats, the other stats it gives cause it to be completely worth the sacrifice. Using Tapu Lele in the Special Attack slot causes it to be ridiculously strong with its Psychic Terrain-boosted Psychics and newly improved base 180 Special Attack stat and creates new opportunities to OHKO more foes. The Psychic Terrain that Tapu Lele sets up also blocks priority for Deoxys-A to somewhat remedy its awful bulk. Mega Heracross in the Speed slot becomes an incredibly strong and fast wallbreaker that is very difficult to beat, and its viability is highly improved from last generation due to the nerf to Gale Wings, which hinders Talonflame's viability. With Deoxys-A's base 150 Speed stat, a base 185 Attack stat higher than Deoxys-A's, an incredible ability in Skill Link, and access to three viable multi-hit moves in Pin Missile, Rock Blast, and Bullet Seed, Mega Heracross has amazing coverage to hit almost any Pokémon at least neutrally and can therefore KO almost anything.

Toxapex + Ho-Oh + Tangrowth

Toxapex (HP) + Ho-Oh (Defense) + Tangrowth (Special Defense)

Toxapex + Ho-Oh + Tangrowth in the HP, Defense, and Special Defense slots form an excellent Fire / Water / Grass Regenerator core with incredible bulk. Toxapex's newly improved 106 / 153 / 143 bulk, combined with Tangrowth's further improved 100 / 125 / 154 bulk and all three of their typings, creates a nigh unbreakable core with incredibly high bulk and type synergy all around with only one major weakness: Stealth Rock. Ho-Oh's huge weakness to Stealth Rock and Toxapex's passiveness due to its comparatively low attacking stats cause a huge gap in teambuilding that is hard to fill and can lead to a somewhat counterproductive Regenerator core, but it is still highly effective with bulky offense and stall teams.

Final Thoughts

Godly Gift is a unique OM that is very entertaining to play and watch. For the short time that it has had the OMotM title, it's been a very popular choice for tournaments and challenges, which means that it will be quite memorable.
