IVs: 0 Atk
Timid / Naive Nature
- Earth Power
- Focus Blast / Rock Slide
- Sludge Wave / Rock Slide
- Stealth Rock / Rock Polish
[SET COMMENTS]
By virtue of its STAB moves, coverage options, and helpful ability in Sheer Force, Landorus makes for a great wallbreaker, matching up well against Dragon, Electric, and Psychic teams and handling the likes of Raging Bolt and Kyurem. Focus Blast targets Dark- and Ice-types like Hydreigon, Piloswine, and Kyurem and can 2HKO switch-ins like Rotom-W, Skarmory, and Ferrothorn. Alternatively, Rock Slide in tandem with a neutral nature and 4 Attack EVs can be used to target Flying- and Bug-types such as Mega Charizard Y, Zapdos, and Volcarona; it also breaks Gholdengo's Air Balloon and hits Ice-types more accurately than Focus Blast. Sludge Wave takes on Grass- and Fairy-types such as Tapu Bulu and Celebi. Stealth Rock wears down incoming foes so that Landorus and its teammates can wallbreak and sweep more efficiently, and it breaks Sturdy from Ogerpon-C. Alternatively, Rock Polish allows Landorus to serve as a cleaner as well by outspeeding and threatening Choice Scarf Weavile, Greninja, and Meowscarada. Tornadus-T makes for a great teammate, taking on problematic Grass- and Fighting-types such as Ogerpon-C, Hisuian Lilligant, and Mega Gallade. Corviknight and Mantine both remove Stealth Rock with Defog so Landorus has an easier time switching in. Corviknight also threatens Ice-types such as Weavile and Alolan Ninetales and provides slow pivoting with U-turn, while Mantine fares well against Water-types like Barraskewda and Mega Swampert. Mega Aerodactyl not only threatens Ice-types, but its coverage also allows it to threaten opposing Landorus, Garchomp, and Tornadus-T; it can also run Stealth Rock so Landorus can run Rock Polish instead. Landorus's wallbreaking opens up sweeping opportunities for Galarian Moltres and Dragonite, which appreciate the removal of their checks such as Alolan Muk and Iron Hands.
